Regulators and indicators of temperature and processes
In SRC We have several models of temperature regulators for simple or precision control processes. These devices have a signal input for temperature measurement (PT100, thermocouple or analog) and a control output using relay, SSR either analog to control different regulation equipment.
These temperature regulators command equipment such as contactors (these are the equipment with less durability and precision), solid state relays (good durability and precision) and proportional power control equipment (excellent durability, precision and energy savings). SRC recommends this last system together with a precision temperature regulator since in the medium term it represents considerable savings in maintenance (longer duration of electrical resistances) and energy (avoids voltage spikes).
How to choose a temperature regulator
The temperature regulator is an essential part of the entire control system, and the entire system must be analyzed to select the appropriate equipment. The following elements should be considered when choosing a regulator:
- Input sensor type (thermocouple, RTD) and temperature range
- Required output type (electromechanical relay, SSR or solid state relay, analog output)
- Necessary regulation algorithm (on and off, proportional, P.I.D.)
- Number and type of outputs (heat, cool, alarm, limit)
Types of temperature regulators
There are three basic types of regulators: On-Off, proportional, and PID. Depending on the system to regulate, the operator may use one type or another to control the process.

FY Series Controller
