Keep your equipment up to date (temperature regulatorsto, power control systems and sensors) allows for adequate process control, leading to savings in both production time and energy savings. During technical inspections of its clients, SRC has detected large temperature deviations due to poor maintenance of this equipment, resulting in losses due to production rejects and lengthening processes that could be completed in shorter times. Temperature regulators themselves are only one part of the entire operating system; therefore, the entire installation must be carefully analyzed to ultimately select the appropriate instrument. When selecting the equipment, the following must be considered: input sensor type, temperature range, regulation algorithm, and control output type. All devices feature a standard DIN size design for easy adaptation and interchangeability of the same devices. There are two types of regulators: On-Off, which functions as a basic thermostat that cuts off the signal when it reaches the required temperature, making it the worst type of equipment for precise regulation. PID output, with control algorithms that make the equipment control the regulation signal so that the signal is more stable and does not have temperature inertia. To have maximum control precision, a regulator with PID control with analog output should be installed, which will control a power regulation equipment and this in turn will regulate the temperature through a proportional output. SRC always recommends installing this type of equipment, which is more expensive initially but that pays for itself in a very short period of time since it represents great savings in maintenance and energy.
